Cornelia is accepted to graduate school!

Congratulations to undergraduate researcher, Cornelia Barrett, on receiving an acceptance to a graduate PhD program!

Cornelia has been an undergraduate in the lab since Summer 2023. She has played a pivotal role in two research projects. She has contributed to work evaluating the molecular mechanisms underlying the evolution of kin recongition during the nascent stages of aggregative multicellularity. Currently, she is performing independent research assessing the breakdown of cooperative aggregative phenotypes due to the emergence of cheaters. She is analyzing aggregative populations to characterize the the temporal distribution of cheaters within an experimentally evolved population.

We are so excited about her acceptance into a PhD program! She is passionate about the well-being of our planet and wants to contribute to a sustainable future. She has decided to continue her research journey with a focus on lab-grown meat technologies. We look forward to all that she will accomplish in the future!
